THE RELATIONSHIP OF NUMBERS

Numerology is the study of numbers. All human knowledge, understanding, talents, characteristics and experience are signified by respective numbers. Each number represents one large area of human awareness and experience. Numbers are the dependable method of language through which the entire universe is made comprehensible and reliable, and thus the root numbers from 1 to 9 has a significant effect on everything around us. 11 and 22 are the Master Numbers which also affect us considerably.

The numbers are interrelated to each other in scores of different ways. The Even Numbers and Odd numbers have striking different characteristics than each other. The odd Number 1 for instance represents Individuation, Independence and Attainment whereas Number 2 represents Relations, Cooperation. Similarly Odd Number 3 stand for Expression, Joy of Living, whereas Even Number 4 signifies Limitation, Order and Service. If we move a step further, we find that Odd Number 5 characterizes Constructive Freedom whereas Even Number 6 symbolizes Balance, Responsibility and Love. It can then be said that the odd numbers can be thought of as dealing with individual alone whereas even numbers involve the relation of the individual to the group.

The odd numbers in a way are related to intangible concepts like joy of living of number 3, illumination of number 11 while even numbers are connected with more pragmatic matters – service of number 4, material satisfaction of number 8.

The even numbers relate to monotonous and tedious affairs like responsibility of number 6 and/or order of number 4. But the odd numbers involve naive endeavours like constructive freedom of number 5 and/or understanding of number 7.

If we look at the numbers rather inquisitively we find the numbers have other relationships with each other. Each number should be viewed as the next logical development following the stage represented by the previous number. The independence of number 1, for example, is followed by cooperation with others of number 2; constructive freedom of number 5 is followed by balance and responsibility of number 6.

A different viewpoint is that each number represent the opposite of the previous number: the limitation of number 4 is followed by constructive freedom of number 5, the material satisfaction of number 8 is followed by the selflessness of number 9.

Another curious look at numbers do indicate that some numbers seem to group naturally with other numbers because of the similarity of the characteristics expressed. For instance numbers 2, 6 and 9 all deal with different aspects of how people get along with each other. The number 2 represent the less personal relation of people in business or some other group situation associating and cooperating with each other. The number 6 signifies the relation of people in a family or other small community group. The number 9 represents the giving quality of a humanitarian or philanthropist – a person who gives feelings, time or money to others with little concern with return.

The group of numbers 2, 6, and 9 stand for many traits besides the relation of people to each other and number 1, 4, and 8 involve many characteristics besides self-centeredness. The awareness of the different number groupings gives you a powerful tool for description. If a person has strong 2’s 6’s and/or 9’s it is more likelihood that he is a person with a friendly, loving, giving approach. Or if a person with a strong 1’s, 4’s and/or 8’s then this person is likely to be a relatively self-centered person.

The numbers not only represent all the positive traits and characteristics, they symbolize negative as well as positive potentials.
